Tray 20!

I'm very excited for this post because it means I am finishing up with Tray 20, which also means I am 2/3 of the way finished (almost). I can see a HUGE difference from when I first began using Invisalign and I just can't wait to see how the last leg of my journey will look. My mom keeps telling me how much straighter my teeth look so I know the change is visible. Luckily, the trays do not share that same visibility. After 20 trays and almost  10 months, nobody seems to have noticed I'm wearing them. Very few people know I have them and they only know because I told them. My mom can't even tell whether I have them on or off when I see her, and she knows about them. I think most people who feel like their trays can be seen from a mile away feel that way because they know they have them on. They can feel the trays. But unless someone is specifically looking for trays on your teeth, they won't see them. So if you wonder whether Invisalign really is invisible, my answer is: yes, it is. The only thing that makes me self conscious about the trays is that every now and then I get a SLIGHT lisp. It's probably only something that I notice though. Anyway, I have lots of pictures since it's been another ten trays. As always, don't hesitate to ask questions if you have them and be sure to look back at the Tray 10 post so you can see how much change takes place in just 20 weeks.

Tray 18 (Finally)

Well I finally finished Tray 18. I was supposed to have finished about 2 weeks ago, but I had my tonsils removed just before my appointment to get my next few trays so I had to reschedule. Anyway, back to the trays. I find myself getting slightly impatient. I see how close my teeth are to being straight and how much movement has taken place since I started wearing them back in July, and it just makes me want them to be straight right now or very soon. I'm not as self conscious about my teeth and smile as I used to be because now there are really only 2 teeth that still need a little work as opposed to all 6 of my front teeth. But, I still don't smile as much as I would like to. I'm hoping the next few trays will let me smile more because my 21st birthday is coming up in May and I would love to have lots of pictures with me actually smiling in them. And I also want to lose a few pounds, but that's off topic. This post has a few pictures, not a whole though. The next post should have quite a bit more since it'll be for Tray 20, which I had said in an earlier post that I wanted to post lots of pictures every ten trays. With that being said, here are the pictures. Let's hope everything goes smoothly from here on out.

Halfway!

Well I am finishing Tray 16, which means I am actually more than halfway. But I'm using this posting as the halfway mark to make things easier and keep up with posting after even trays. Because this is the halfway post, I will be including lots of pictures from different angles and distances so y'all can really see the progress. I honestly can't believe how quickly this process has gone by so far and I just can't wait to see the end results. Everything seems to be running smoothly. I don't really feel pain with new trays anymore, but other than that, there isn't much to report. Enjoy the pics!

Tray 14

Ok so I'm sorry for this posting being a little late. I've been really sick (still am) and have been sleeping quite a bit. But I finally got up long enough to write today. Tray 14 was pretty normal. It was also the last tray before my attachments were switched around. I had the attachments on my right front tooth and left lateral incisor removed, and one was placed on my left front tooth. The one on my right lateral incisor was left on. I don't think I'm entirely pleased with the placement of my left lateral incisor. It still looks a little pushed back, but I'm going to wait to see the very end results before I make my decision. I am extremely happy to be halfway. The last 3 trays really only tighten up my teeth and bring them all together, so the first 28 trays are the ones that really straighten my teeth. Well my bed is calling my name so I'm off. Sorry for the short posting, but I've never been this sick. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment and I'll try my best to answer as soon as I get a chance.
